Coral Blue Moalboal September 2021

 Last year has really stressed us out and we couldn't do much about it because of quarantine. This year we took advantage of the lighter restrictions in our city and visited the beach often. We wanted to go on a road trip and visit one of the beautiful white sand beaches Cebu has to offer so off we went to Moalboal which is a 3 hour drive away from Mandaue City. 

The Sardines Run, a thriving coral habitat, and the opportunity to swim with whale sharks are all reasons to visit Moalboal. The Moalboal Marine Sanctuary, Compton Point, Tongo Point, and Talisay Wall are all excellent diving spots in Moalboal. Moalboal is also a great spot to learn to scuba dive.

We stayed in Basdaku, Moalboal specifically in Coral Blue. They offer affordable rooms right by the beach and simple room amenities. If you want to see my video touring the room and property you can check out my video. 

When you do plan to stay in Moalboal you have to drop by their Tourism Office pay pay a Php 25 fee which is required before you enter any resort. There are lots of things I like and dislike about Coral Blue and Basdaku beach.

PRO's:

👍Coral Blue Resort is very affordable (less than Php 2,000 for the room)

👍 Rooms are right by the beach

👍 The resort is more quiet compared to neighboring resorts

Cons:

👎 Basdaku beach is not the cleanest there trash by the shore line

👎 Water from the resort comes from a water tank so don't use it to brush your teeth or for consumption

👎 The resort does not have restaurant so you have to eat elsewhere or cook for yourself

So if you are looking for a beautiful beach destination that doesn't hurt your wallet you can consider staying here. Overall we enjoyed our stay even if it was not a fancy get away it who you are with is what matters.
