Duty Free Haul : Maybelline Products With Swatches

I got these Maybelline Products form Duty Free which is a tax free store so you can save some money when you purchase there, but take note that not everything is cheaper in Duty Free. They sell designer sun glasses, bags, fragrances, chocolates, liquor, skincare and my favorite MAKEUP. The currency they use to price on their products is US Dollar so I have to convert the prices to Philippine Peso because I dont have US Dollar cash, but they do accept Phil. Peso payments.

Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara (A pack of three mascaras)
Price : $ 9.00 = Php. 366.40
 - One Hyper curl mascara in Watsons costs Php 250.00 ($6.14), so I saved Php 351.00 with his pack!!-
If you read about my review on this awesome mascara click HERE

Maybelline COLORsensational (A pack of 6 lipsticks)
Price : $ 22.00 = Php. 895.60

The lipsticks are not pigmented other than the Glamorous Red color, but you can also layer them over lip liner or a more opaque lip color.

Battle of The Brands: Zaija and Etude House Makeup Remover

Battle of the brands is where I will be reviewing and comparing two brands of the same product, they may be both lipsticks, foundation, mascara or just any beauty product. Both products may or not be of the same price range and as usual I will be giving my honest review on the products and I will choose which one I like the best.

 Zaija
Price: Php 200.00 ($ 4.92)
120 ml
Available at: beautybar.com or
Braches in Cebu:
Ayala Canter

PROS :
- Does not leave an oily feeling after use
CONS:
- Does not remove eye makeup easily
- It stings when it get into your eye

Etude House
Price: Php 198.00 ($ 4.87)
100 ml
Available at : Etude House stores
Branches in Cebu :
SM City Cebu
Ayala Center
J Center Mall

PROS:
-Does not sting the eyes
- Removes eye make effectively and easily
-Cute packaging
CONS:
-Leave a slight oily feeling after use

I know this looks really gross but I wanted to show you how much makeup both brands were able to remove. As you can see the Etude House brand was able to remove more eyeshadow and eyeliner compared to the Zaija brand. I used the same amount of product on each cotton ball and rubbed both cotton balls 8 times on each of my eyelids.

MY CHOICE:
ETUDE HOUSE MAKEUP REMOVER
I chose the Etude House remover over the Zaija because I cant bare the stinging of the product and it requires less rubbing on the eyes because it removes makeup more effectively.

Take care!

Review: Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lip Cover

I have read and heard a lot of great reviews on the Wet n Wild Matte Lipsticks and I have been curious on how it looks and applies on my lips. I finally got to try two shades and I must say I really do like them.

Price: Php 165.00 ($ 4.05),
the same lipstick are available in the SM Department store but it costs P300.00. You save Php 135.00! So purchase them on Womanity!

I got two very pretty shades : Mauve Outta Here and Sugar Plum Fairy
Don't you just love fun color names?

These are the swatches of the color, it may not look the same on the actual lipstick bullet.

Mauve Outta Here is a mauve pink shades, hence the name.

Sugar Plum Fairy is sort of a red-violet color.

PROS:
-Long lasting
 - Great pigmentation
- Available in a huge variety of colors
- Not drying on the lips. even if it gives a matte finish
-Affordable only P165.00 on Womanity (The Makeup Authority)

  CONS:
-My only complain about this products is that the bullet doesn't go all the way down so you have to be careful when you put on the lid.

So if you are looking for a great matte lipstick I recommended you the Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lip Covers!

Thank you for reading!
Take care!

Prom Make over

A few weeks back I did the hair and makeup for beautiful Angela for her prom (short for promenade). She didn't have any specific look that she wanted so I created a look for her to bring out her features and to transform her to a stunning prom princess. I didn't want to do anything drastic because it would only cover up her young beauty and  "I want to see the girl not the makeup".

I'm very happy that I got to do her hair and makeup , shes will be graduating soon and this most likely is  the last prom she will attend, but some colleges do have proms. To all you girls who will be attending prom just have fun and smile and always remember that you are beautiful.

Take care!
